Feb. 28, 2010 | What He Needs, What She Wants | Mark Albrecht
From the opening chapters of the Bible, we discover that men and women have distinct differences. And sometimes it seems that mixing the two will never work out well. Growth begins by understanding our God-designed identities and roles.
Feb. 21, 2010 | Married with Issues | Mark Albrecht
It’s a shocking thing to discover that each partner brings baggage into a relationship. These issues lead to a particular style of relating that at times can become a huge barrier for effective relating. Growth begins with facing our own wounds and shaping experiences, understanding their impact on us, and understanding the same of our mate.
Feb. 14, 2010 | Do You Believe in Love? | Mark Albrecht
Quite often, people enter marriage with an unspoken expectation that their partner will make them happy. We love in order to get something back. We discover that our understanding of love is self-serving. This Sunday, Valentine’s Day, we look at the true definition of love.
Feb. 7, 2010 | A Tale as Old as Time | Mark Albrecht
The first question every couple must answer is, “What kind of marriage do we want?” Do we want a union of joy and satisfaction, or will we settle for peaceful co-existence? If the answer if the former, married couples discover that if they want it, they must fight for it, because marriage is fabulously hard. It is our hope that this Sunday will stir a fresh resolve to fight for marriage and a fresh hope that with God’s help, marriage can be done and done well.

The Faith
Nov. 29, 2009 | Be Holy – Transform the World | Andy Sudhoff
This final message will focus on lifelong Christian growth. The core doctrine of sanctification will be our focus – God’s desire and plan to make us holy. This week will examine the sanctification process, both seeing that it is God’s desire and understanding how it comes about in the life of an individual Christian.
Nov. 22, 2009 | Human Dignity & The Great Proposal | Mark Albrecht
The fact that the transcendent God of the universe has made us and made us in His image gives human beings intrinsic value. This foundational doctrine shapes our views on so many issues in culture: war, care for the elderly and the handicapped, concern for the poor, abortion, etc… This week we will look carefully at the scriptures underlining the sanctity of life and look at its implications, including a new understanding of our immeasurable worth to God.
Nov. 15, 2009 | The Church | Mark Albrecht
In Colson’s chapter, he outlines the marks of the church: the teaching of the Word, the sacraments, discipline, community, and mission. All of these are seen in the life of the early church in Acts 2. This week will give us a great opportunity to reflect on Jesus’ vision for his church, to reflect on church history, and to perhaps recite a creed and participate in communion together.
Nov. 8, 2009 | Forgiveness and Reconciliation | Mark Albrecht
God has sent His son to make peace with us. Those who have put their trust in Christ have shifted from being enemies of God to now being members of His family. Making peace with God by receiving His forgiveness opens the door to make peace with others. This message will have the clear applications of forgiving others and guarding unity in the church.
Nov. 1, 2009 | Exchanging Identities | Mark Albrecht
This week will focus on the crucial doctrine of the Trinity – God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. The word “trinity” does not appear in the Bible – how do we know it is true? Then we will turn our attention to the issue of identity exchange, what it means to accept the invitation of Christ by dying to self and allowing Him to live in us.
Oct. 25, 2009 | The Problem and The Remedy | Lance Corely
The three most critical questions in understanding and forming a worldview are: Where did we come from? What is wrong with the world? How do we fix it? The first question was answered in weeks #1 & #2. Now we turn our attention to the next two questions. What is wrong with the world? While we want to deny anything is wrong and affirm the goodness of man, ultimately the problem is sin – a deliberate rejection of God and His revealed truth. How do we fix it? God has sent us His Son, making transformation of the human heart possible.
Oct. 18, 2009 | God Has Spoken | Mark Albrecht
Description: After discovering that a transcendent God exists last week, this Sunday we see that this God has spoken. He speaks through creation, the scriptures, and most perfectly through His Son. We will not only explore the reasons we have for trusting that the Bible really is God’s Word, but we will also see that God’s revealed Word establishes an authoritative source of truth that frames all we do and how we understand and engage our world.
Oct. 11, 2009 | God Is | Mark Albrecht
Week #1 will frame this series and underline why doctrine and worldview matter. This message will call our congregation to know their faith and contend for their faith. Then we will explore the first fundamental doctrine of the Christian faith: God is. A transcendent God exists and why we have intelligent reasons for believing it.

Jul. 12, 2009 | Questions and Complaints | Mark Albrecht
Many of the psalms are laments. This week's psalms will address frustration over the fact that the wicked always seem to prosper and also express the psalmist's complaint that God's enemies seem to mock Him.
